Greetings from the Development Office

The Sisters of Charity are very grateful for the friends who support the Sisters in so many ways: through dedicated volunteer service, enthusiastic presence at events, faithful prayers, kind notes, and generous gifts. Thank you!
We hope that you are enjoying a wonderful summer. Looking ahead, please put October 23 on your calendar for our annual Harvest Festival, which will be held this year at The Madison Hotel in Morristown. The Sisters of Charity will be honoring Mary Mazzarella DeMayo, M.D. with the Caritas Award. Dr. Mazzarella worked tirelessly as the medical expert to put forward the miracle cure attributable to the intervention of Sister Miriam Teresa, who will be beatified on October 4.   The Mehegan Award will be presented to Tim McLoone, who lives out the mission of boundless charity through his foundation, Holiday Express, and his many other charitable works.
Be sure to check out this month’s Sister Story, featuring Sister Emily Walsh. Still going strong at age 93, Sister Emily has served as a Sister of Charity for more than 75 years.
If you would like to share a story about how a Sister of Charity has touched your life, please send me a note, give me a call, or stop by the Development Office in the Motherhouse Building at Convent Station.
May God bless you and your family.
